Welcome to Meals by Mattie

Everybody loves food.  But many people do not have the time or even the interest in cooking and baking (never mind the time and effort shopping for all the ingredients and cleaning up all those messy pots and pans!).  And ordering out may not be your favorite alternative.  If this sounds like you, then Meals by Mattie is here to help.

Now imagine looking through a menu that has your local favorites as well as dishes from around the world, selecting what you would like to eat that week for you and your family,  and then having a chef buy all the fresh ingredients and then come to your home one day each week and cook of all these for you.  Welcome to Meals by Mattie.  

Want to alter a dish to meet someone’s needs?  No problem.  Want to eat something you don’t see on the menu?  No problem.  Vegetarian, Vegan, Organic?  No problem.  Chef Mattie would be happy to discuss all of this with you and tailor exactly to your needs.

You can choose from more than 100 dishes and each meal can be customized to meet your preferences.
3 entrees + 3 sides  $300 excluding tax

Groceries are additional and charged exactly as reflected on shopping receipt.

Meet The Chef

As your personal chef, I’ll visit you to cover three areas:
 1) I want to learn what you and your family like and dislike, any food allergies you might have, and any nutritional objectives you have.  Based on this, we can discuss menus and help you select dishes for your first cooking date.
 2) We’ll pick a day of the week that works for both of us, and 3) I’ll review your kitchen, tools, and other items important for your home cooked meals.

Cooking Day

I will come to your home that morning with my traveling kitchen essentials and cook all the dishes you selected for that week.   Before I arrive, I will shop for the freshest ingredients at the local grocers/markets.  All I will need is some counter space, a working stove and some space in your fridge to store your prepared meals.

Enjoy Your Meals

Your refrigerator is stocked with meals organized in containers labeled with the name of the dish and specific heating and serving instructions. It’s time to relax and enjoy dinner.

Two days before my next visit you can call, text, or email me what you would like me to cook the following week.

Meet Chef Mattie

Chef Mattie is a native of Thailand and resides in Fairfield, CT.  Although she received a Bachelor’s degree. in Accounting and an MBA, her lifelong passion has been food.  Growing up she loved walking through the fresh markets in Thailand eating freshly made dishes and desserts.

After a brief career in Banking, she took culinary classes in Italian, Indian, Japanese and classic Thai dishes.  In addition, she graduated with Honors at the French Culinary Institute in New York with a diploma in Pastry Arts, a stint at Daniel Boulud’s DB Bistro Moderne as well as ran an on-line Patisserie.

Mattie’s home inside her home is the kitchen.  Here is where you will find her most of the day with her 200 cookbooks, everything from Sicilian to Vietnamese, Cajun to Paleo, Soups to Cakes.  She loves to cook and bake for family and friends and always with a big smile.

          Fresh, Healthy and delicious meals are prepared in your home. Below are some food and desserts from my complete menu of more than 100 dishes. Each menu item is customizable. Requests for vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free, gluten-free, paleo and more are happily accommodated. Please contact me for the complete menu.
